How do I check that a contractor is properly licensed?
North Carolina requires a general contractor license for projects of $40,000 or more. You can verify any contractor’s license through the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors’ public search at portal.nclbgc.org/Public/Search before signing anything.
Is my ZIP code covered?
